Biography

I am a bioinformatician and doctoral researcher at the Medical University of Innsbruck. My research focuses on the integration of multi-omics data and interpretable machine learning for systems toxicology, with a particular interest in dose-response modeling and the discovery of biomarkers of chemical exposure.

I developed DoseRider, a tool for modeling omics-based dose-response at the pathway level, supporting toxicogenomic analyses and benchmark dose estimation. This work contributes to understanding mechanisms of action (MOA) and advancing new approach methodologies (NAMs) for chemical risk assessment.

I am also the developer of several additional bioinformatics tools, including  MIOOvRSeq, and ExonSurfer., which support microRNA analysis, pathway modeling, and primer design across various applications in biomedical research.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and Biomedical Science and a Master’s degree in Bioinformatics, both from the University of Valencia. I have completed research stays at I2SysBio, Universitat Jaume I, and the General University Hospital of Valencia, working on projects in metagenomics, variant calling, and cancer-related pathways.
